Pluriel water leak - rear footwells wet

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Hi Connie
Did you find the answer to your water leak. I stupidly bought a Pluriel in the dry weather and am now kicking myself as its leaking near both front visors and the boot as you describe! :?

Hi,

Yes.
For leaks identified as coming through the canvas I used the Captain Tolley product (penetrating crack sealer).
The crack was imperceptible, but evidently a crack did exist.

As for the boot, I let the sealer dribble/flow along the edges if the rear window until the leak was sealed.

Let me know if you need more specific details.

Hope my response helps.

I haven't managed to open my roof yet so I can't inspect my car for blocked drain points in the roof area. Can anyone post a picture of a drain hole in the front section of the roof structure? My roof leaks on one side so either its not closed hard enough on one side or the drain is blocked in my opinion [ but there might not even be one in this area, can anyone confirm for me? ]

Thanks,

Julian

There are some pictures of drain points on the pluriel rear section here. But I don't know of the location for any front drain points. I would say there is little need for a front drain point on the pluriel.

I too thought it was a drain hole issue as water would drip from the sun visor, but after extensive investigation, it was actually run off from water that penetrated a hairline crack on the canvas roof and flowed down along the underside of the roof towards the sun visor.
