Pluriel roof issue

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

The grey turbo bit is aluminium and that polishes up to a mirror finish, but some Mothers Mag & Aluminium Polish but if you want to go further, try the Polishing Mops.

It is looking much more like new now :D
Thanks! I'll try some polish on it and see how it goes!

I received and installed my taillight yesterday - It looks so much better! I'll have to buy a second one now, haha!
I'm trying to find PDR professionals to repair a few dents the car's had since I bought it (and an extra hit-and-run one someone did to me in a parking lot, hopefully hasn't gone through the paint) near where I live without much luck. Hopefully I'll find something, otherwise the only real solution, knowing local bodyshops, is a crap ton of body filler, 1-2 months of waiting, a mediocre paintjob and 400+ euros out of my wallet, which ain't happening...

Does anyone know if the silver trim's got a paint code of some sort? Looking for touch-up paint, or possibly a spray can to fix some trim pieces which have a few ugly spots :D

Can you add a photo of the silver trim part?
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

Sure, this is what I'm talking about:

Seems to be the same color as the roof pillars & door handles.
Thanks!

Just ordered the roof cables & gear kit - There's no turning back now, I'm fixing this myself, haha
Also ordered a second taillight, the old one looked like crap next to the new one.
Still looking for the roof fabric - I was quoted around 300 euros (may end up to be more, or less) from a local upholsterer to make a new one, which is decent, but I was hoping I could cut save some time by doing it all myself with a used fabric off of another pluriel.

Cheers

Sure thing!
It'll be a good 10-15 days till they arrive from France, but I'll make sure to keep you posted on the repair process.
The gear kit was 61 euros and cable kit was 106 euros from my local Citroen dealer.

One of the two parts I ordered for the roof has been delayed quite a lot, still not here. I've been told it was a delay by the factory, but it should be here this week... Fingers crossed!

On another note - I tried doing a permanent fix for my yellowing headlights, but it didnt quite work. I bought an 'HB Lens Clear' spray thinking it was a clear coat specifically made for headlights plastics, and applied after 600grit, 1000 grit and 2000 grit sanding, etc. First wash at a car wash a week after application, all was fine. Then washed it at home a couple of weeks later, it hazed up and got ruined. Almost like a chemical reaction of some sort. Any recommendations on what sort of clear coat I should look for to do this properly? Maybe something I could find locally?
Cheers!

Need your help!
Got the parts today :) I had great success in taking out the fabric, taking out the gear & cables, cleaning out the junk, replacing the gear and cables with the new parts and reinstalling the motor with the help of my parents.
All interslides looked to bee in good shape as well...
However :(
As we were reinstalling the old fabric back in place I must've broken the last rear interslide on each side (they had to be somewhat forced to go in and made a clicky sound. So I must've broken a moving part of some sort?) and the roof behaved weirdly in it's movement...
Then, as I tried to take it back out it must've stopped before being fully closed (a couple of mm short of being fully closed I'd assume - although I couldn't move it any further, perhaps something to do with the ?broken? last two sliders) and ended up breaking the first slider on each side when opening the rear hatch. Ouch! :(

Replacing the gear and cables is a well documented process, and it went absolutely without a hitch. Reassembly is another thing altogether though...
Are there any service manuals for the roof around? Something I could reference?
At this point I've got no idea whether I should:
- Replace the interslides and give it another go,
- Make a half-assed attempt at reinstalling the current broken roof, resetting it, disconnecting the roof switch and forgetting it was ever designed as a convertible,
- Go for a Hard-top,
- Go jump off a bridge :(

Here are some photos before I started developing suicidal thoughts :D
