Pluriel roof - Citroen workshop manual?

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

No engine, gearbox or running gear questions
Think: Pluriel roof and rear window jobs
Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Hi,

I've come to a dead end re an issue with my Pluriel roof - roof only opening 10 inches/tailgate not working/motor not stopping when roof is closed and cog jumping on cables. From what I have read on the internet this is a fairly common set of symptoms but there aren't any solutions. The only way I can see to fix it is to get hold of a workshop manual with wiring diagrams (not Haynes); there are sites that offer large downloads for a small fee - has anybody used these/are they legit?

From what I can work out the roof motor stops when it detects resistance when the roof is closed and should shut off, but this is not happening on mine....

I have not use dodgy looking sites that you have to pay for. The ones I have seen just leech data from other forums and pass it off as their own. There are literally 100s of these sites and they won't be better than google search.

There are some topics for the pluriel roof here.

Many thanks - the sites I am looking at claim to provide the complete Citroen C3 workshop manual, the programme/info that Citroen main dealers/authorised repairers use for reference when you take your car in to them.

That is called SEDRE or SERVICE BOX. You can get a limited access to that here.

If you choose to use one of the other sites, I would be interesting to hear how the software install goes and how much useful information you can gain from it :)
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

Thanks AD, I downloaded a copy from a third party site which runs in a Windows XP emulator on my Mac (VirtualBox). It cost £10 and is around 20gb and appears to be the full version of Service Box for the C3 with wiring diagrams. It works really well and there is lots of information on the Pluriel roof that I haven't seen before. I need to find a way of transferring the diagrams etc. out of virtual box so I can print/post them. I'm away for the week but will see how useful it is when I get back. I've already identified a microswitch at the back re the roof position which is a start!
