Pluriel: Rear screen (boot) electrics failed, manual override/open

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Can anyone please help, we haven't had our c3 pluriel long and today noticed when the boot was open and rear screen was up that the wires to the left had been taped up, hubby had a look under tape and saw broken wire , as we hadn't had any problems he taped it back up and closed boot. Now the sensor button thing on the rear screen doesn't work and therefore we can't open the boot to fix the wire, we tried undoing the boot hinges but the roof became unstable and the rear screen wud only open an inch or so. Is there a way to open the rear screen in an instance like this where the electric button doesn't work? Any help wud really be appreciated. This is what I need to do but I can't open rear lid to do it.

Hi there,

I have the same problem with the sensor button thing on the outside of the rear screen, above the "r" in citroen. I unlocked mine by folding the back seats all the way forward, crawling inside the boot, and unlocking from the inside first the tailgate, than the rear screen. First, unlock the tailgate using the inner button in the middle, and quickly push it towards outside a little bit (as far as the rear screen margin will allow it to go), and than, while keeping the tailgate pushed, unlock the rear screen using the inner middle button right above the tailgate one. That should unlock the rear screen too, so now you should have both the rear screen and the tailgate unlocked and opened.

If the inner button of the rear screen won't work, and will not unlock the rear screen, you can do this by manually pushing on the actuators (the white thingies as the arrow in the photos show) that keep the rear screen locked. These are located on the right and the left side of the boot, covered by plastic pieces (pieces I guess you have already removed, since the wires are hidden under the same plastic pieces, and your hubby saw the broken wire).

I hope this helps.

Which wire was broken it in your case (what color or number), cause it seems I can't find it.
