hello everybody first post,
the boot in my girlfriends car wouldn't open the other day so she decided to push it from the inside to open it (which worked) but now it won't lock.
The two catches work on the outer parts of the boot but the electro switch seems to be in the locked position.
Any help would be great, if you need any more info let me know
Thanks
Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,
Forcing locks and catches often does more damage to them, so its worth looking at and testing the catches too, as these may have become broken or damaged. It may just be easier to replace them if you are unable to test them.
You could try removing the switch and see if looks broken, or just replace it if you can find one cheap enough, try on ebay for pluriel boot switcheselectro switch seems to be in the locked position.

Thank you. I can't workout how the middle lock works. Can anyone enlighten me or show me a diagram? Its not a catch, is it a magnet?

There looks like 2 parts in the green area of the pictures.
From what I can see both are switches.
Part numbers 8484.C0 and 8484.C1 - at least one switch can be pressed by the user, the other could possibly operated when the boot lid is in the shut position (so the car knows the boot is closed) or something along those lines.
They don't lock the boot, but are part of the releasing switch.

Thank you for that the diagram helps. both switches have been quoted at £34.73 which isnt bad if that is the problem.
I went to the car just now to have another look at it and now the outer locks won't even work so now i can not get into the boot at all.
then i thought i would try the roof and that now only goes back a little bit (like a sunroof) and then struggles to get back in the closed position.
And on top of that the horn has stopped working, which i have been told could be something to do with the comm 2000 unit. My next task is to check the horn with the battery. the fuses are ok.
Is there any chance that all of these problems are connected or have i just had three different things go wrong.
Any help would be great
Lloyd

Try (F2 15A Horn) of the BSM - Fuse box in the engine bay.
Engine bay Fuse box diagram - 2007
Glove box fuse diagram -2007
and if you can't find that fuse box, have a look at this post which shows all the fuse box locations.
It would be worth testing all the fuses, there are even some hidden ones under the engine bay fuse box for roof problems.
