Leaking rear “Citroen” styling trim or the rear boot.

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Good evening fellow leaky tailgators!

I’ve only just come across this post investigating my own woes!

The little puddle on the boot floor was exactly the same as mine. On removing the trim from the inside of the rear screen I found water gathered around what would be the underside of the upper tailgate (glass bit) release switch, essentially, the rubber button under the ‘R’ of CITROEN you press to raise the tailgate. This rubber had split and water was getting into the cavity holding the solenoids, wires and switchgear for the upper tailgate.
Incidentally, as part of trying to drain this excess water out, when I raised the tailgate right up the water was shorting something and the release solenoids went mad!
I’ve yet to source a replacement rubber switch cover but will report back when I’ve done so!

Hi,
Did you find the parts you needed?
Mine does exactly the same and I had to use epoxy putty to re-fix rubber pad to plastic edging.
And similar to yours, I think the water has killed the rear demister.
Are Citroen able to source the parts for you?
