Fixing the Pluriel roof and buying spares.

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Hi All,

here's thanking you in advance. I just bought an 05 pluriel, and all was well until the garage man tried to force the roof open :(

Anyhow it is now hanging down from pretty much half way along the car, it looks like some of the slider bows have been broken.

I am at a loss as to how to attack this task, I called citroen for a price on the slider packs and they want £110 per side (inc vat)

So I guess what I am asking is

is there anywhere cheaper to buy the sliders, ?

are they all the same part or different (front to back)?

are they right and left handed?

and what is the best way to tackle the job and get it back together? I haven't tried operating the roof at all, didn't want to attempt it.

Apologies for such a shopping list on my first post :)

thanks again

No, Citroen are the only supplier for new. If you want second hand, try breakers or the ever useful ebay (here).

If you can prove you are a genuine reseller then you can get a trade discount at Citroen, but I don't know what you need to prove this.

There is a topic in the tips section for pluriel roof repair here which has some pictures and the tips section is in need of some more pluriel roof guides.

Its a very mechanical system and you will have a steep learning curve.

Would it be easier to replace the entire roof? and how does the 'cassette' I have read about come? if I buy secondhand will it have the sliders etc built in or do I need them independently?

Apologies for noob questions, I am just trying to look at the easiest potential method

Its not easy to replace the entire roof mechanicals but if its easier than replacing some parts, possibly.

I would imagine that depends on the seller. If you go for a breaker as suggested above, then you can ask for whatever parts you need.

This topic Pluriel roof (here) and this topic Pluriel roof 2 (here) have diagrams that can help show parts. The cassette is the drive system that retracts the roof.

Not sure if you have fixed your roof but I have just repaired my roof with new sliders and I could run you through the process if needed
