Building a Pluriel Hardtop

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Completed the first drive test today. Hardtop stayed in place, no wind noise ( in fact it is more quiet than the soft top). There are some slight rattles as the chassis flexes over bumps, I am guessing that this is caused by track washer bounce. I will pull out the track slider cabinet nut ends and put a dab of epoxy on the Cabinet nut shaft and the washer, this will lock them together and eliminate any rattle on flex, hopefully. The back up plan is to put a thin rubber washer on the track facing side of the washer, assuming there is room to squeeze it it. I sprayed it with the garden hose and no leaks to report.

As of today the hardtop is complete. I finished spraying the wrap coating, and the internal headliner has now been installed. My plan to stop the rattles work just fine, with the track washers epoxied to the Cabinet nut barrels - no more rattle. I also installed the original softtop rear spoiler, on the back edge of the hardtop, it looks factory now.

I have attached the last photos. Thank you for following along and I hope this inspires others to go to a removable hardtop, if your softtop is no longer doing the job and you still want the freedom of being able to reconfigure the Pluriel as designed.
