Another Pluriel roof and boot issue

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

This morning I held the sun roof button in again for a few seconds and it made a locking noise again. The roof now opens and closes ok but the boot still isn't opening, it does now make the unlocking noise again though.

Any help would be great!

If its a mechanical problem then you will have to get very mechanical to fix it because the roof drive and roof is a very mechanical system.

I don't know what you mean by 'definitely works' because each fault can have its own solution. Worn drive and jammed drive cables will need new parts and if everything else that needs repair get it then that will definitely work.

It sounds like the electrical system is working if you can hear the solenoid move. It could well be mechanical and jammed or not aligned correctly which is stopping it from moving. A visual inspection can help identify broken or damaged parts.

The Pluriel roof is not a simple system and I don't know of any 'quick fixes' for it

Does the roof make a locking noise when closed? Is there a switch the closing roof activates when closing at the front. I know there are some microswotches in the back.. How does the ecu know when the rood is n a closed position?

Hi guys,

Yesterday afternoon I gave the car a thorough clean and decided to try the boot again. Strangely enough it did actually open to my surprise however this evening after getting home from work I discovered that it is locked tight again. Still making the unlocking noise when pressing the button but not budging. I don't know why it would randomly open yesterday and then not today again. Thank you guys for replying. I really am lost with this one, very strange.

In regards to the boot being closed/locked properly, the car won't lock with the central locking if anything is undone. And the roof is definitely clipped in properly (it made the gripping/locking noise).

Thanks

My ongoing problems meant that I manually open the rear window from the inside. If you are having problems it maybe worthwhile taking the rear plastic surround from the inside of the boot window. You will see the two actuators that pull the catch on either side. Pulling them releases the catch . Maybe one is faulty.

Hi, I have not tried opening the window from the inside of the car as I am worried that I will not be able to close. Does the window need to be open to gain access to the plastic surround/actuators? Is there a switch to press from the inside to open the glass or push on it from the inside once the outside switch has been pressed once?

Thanks

I swapped the boot window and roof from another car.. the good news is it closed but the bad news is there is now a little gap at the front and the controls are now dead after closing the roof. The boot window button still doesnt work.. Anything I can do to reset. I have tried the bsi reset and also hold the push for 30s but nothing. I have checked the 30a and 40a fuse and the electric windows are working. Any help much appreciated

I've managed to connect a lexia to the car and found a bsi fault. Failure to communicate to the roof ecu. The actuators work from lexia and unlock the window. I think it probably is the wiring as I have swapped the ecu with the old roof. Where would I start with testing the wires? I know the loom on the eft side as you face it from the back but where do they terminate?
