Your stats say 2008, that's a MK2. Which is it?

Tell me EXACTLY step by step what you did for the BSI reset.

Can't seem to find the information you shared about the two types of system for mk1 and mk2
The original shape C3's had two different versions. 2003-2005 is typically referred to as a Mk1 or more commonly the pre-face lift model. 2006-2009 is the Mk2 or face lift version.
If you have another look at my first post, the cars are not only slightly physically different but electrically different too. From 2010 on the C3's are nearly completely different.
The problem is a lot of posters get their stats wrong and confuse the conversation. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page.
The Mk2's or face lift, don't tend to suffer these network problems as much as the MK1's. The CAN BUS networks tend to be a bit more robust than the VAN BUS units.

I wound down driver window, made sure everything was switched off, waited 3 minutes, disconnected battery, waited 15 seconds, reconnected battery, waited another 10 or 15 seconds, turned the side lights on through the drivers window, put key in ignition and turned to on position, pressed and held lock button on key for 10 seconds. Took key out of ignition, opened and closed driver's door, tried key. Nothing happening.
I don't think the BSI reset is going to work in your case. So why did I ask you to try it? Well..there is not much else left to try is there? I believe the network should have picked up the radio as soon as you plugged it in.
Ok the BSI reset: To be honest with you there is a lot of guff on the internet about the reset and I have no idea where it has come from. Is It true? I have not come across an official Citroen (or PSA) proforma on the BSI reset so I cant say yes or no. But I can tell you some facts.
1) after being disconnected and reconnected to the battery supply the BSI takes about 1 minute (60 seconds) to complete its "house keeping". Interrupting it (by opening the door or turning on the side lights or some thing) will cut the reset short.
2) after being reconnected to the battery the rear wiper may run for 10-15 seconds (that's from personal experience).
3) the electric window anti-pinch mechanism may be reset if the glass is not all the way up. So when you go to wind the window up it may stop 1/2 way.
4) if monitored devices like doors are left open the reset will cut short.
So as far as I am concerned the BSI reset is just; closing all the doors and windows, make sure the ignition is off, prop up the bonnet. WAIT 60 SECONDS. Disconnect the battery. Wait a minute or two (not critical). Reconnect the battery, WAIT 60 SECONDS. Then do what ever you need to do.
The important thing is that you let the BSI do it's house keeping before and after disconnection and reconnecting to the battery.
As I said I am not confident that this is going to work BUT I am concerned that the radio is not "talking" to the cars network. But I don't have an answer as to why.
