Hi recently purchased a c3 for the girlfriend.
It’s a 2006 1.4 petrol done about 90k
The problem is. The wipers seem to go on by themselves and also when car is locked and off wipers go and headlights sometimes flash on or stay on for a while.
Have done a bsi reset (although I’m not sure if it was successful or not how’d you know?)
But has made little difference. The battery looks pretty new. I have a warranty for a month or so with the garage I brought it from although it specifically states electrical faults are not covered.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to check (if I can dig it out I do have Peugeot plannet and scanner from previous Peugeot I had not sure if I can do anything with that ? )
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Lester

Wipers are controlled by the COM2000 - stalks below the steering wheel (info here). These COM2000 units can give trouble as the switches and mechanicals wear out.
There are several different versions of the COMM2000 unit so it would be best to remove your COM unit (info) and identify it from the part numbers sticker to find a matching replacement on ebay (here).
Yes, you can use your PP2000 actica interface on the 2006 C3 (usually). You just need the diagbox/lexia software.
Lexia/diagbox is built in stages and you don't need a very late version or upgrade to communicate with a 2006. Don't need to strive for the latest and greatest 8.xx version when an old 7.xx with be suitable. Google will help you find the software.
Diagbox/lexia can test the COM2000 and the BSI if you wanted to do some diagnosis before and you can use it after a replacement COM2000 as a slightly different model number my need some configuration (lexia/daigbox can do that).
Our Citroen C3 Lexia topic has some information on installing lexia, hardware and OS to read.

Thanks for reply.
Problems seem to have escalated car left and now won’t start completely dead so assume lights have switched on by themselves and drained battery.
Can com2000 issues cause this ?
Is there any fuses to check possible bad connection that can cause these issues or generally the whole com2000 unit needs to be changed. ?

COM2000 operates the wipers, lights, horn, driver airbag and sometimes audio.
I would start with the COM200. It is a complete unit but some models of COM have repair parts available (in the links I gave).
Fuses blow and open circuit, not likely to operate the wipers
Hope it's is not a bad connection beacue that could be impossible to find
