hi
finally found COM2002 and tested the stalks and they work but knew that anyway because I put the com2002 unit in another car and they worked
this is the process I used to make the front wipers and washer to work through lexia
global test/bsi/actuator tests/visibility/windscreen wipers at slow speed/activation in progress/operation complete
see photos

Getting the wipers to work from lexia prove that the motor, fuse and BSM are good.Odd-job wrote:finally found COM2002 and tested the stalks and they work but knew that anyway because I put the com2002 unit in another car and they worked

If you can see all the stalk inputs in live data (and tested with a spare COM2000/stalk unit) then that proves the stalks can talk to the BSI.
In theory it should all be working now.......

You may need to look for a software update for the BSI in lexia. If there is one, it will rewrite all the values, corrupt or not.Odd-job wrote:Hi

This may well clear the fault as it does look very computer like.
Take screen shots of all the unique configuration for your model, including ABS information found in lexia because you may well have to re-input all the data back into lexia after the update.
This is an example of one of the configuration screens:
this is the one where you can see the COM2000 stalk inputs

Hi
Sorry my computer skills aren't great hence why I'm still learning how to use lexia but how would I search for a bsi update through lexia as I don't want to make the car any worse by changing or updating the wrong thing
I only wanted to save a few pennies by doing the job myself as I thought it would be something simple to fix
I do appreciate all the help I've been given so far thank you

You can't update the wrong thing, but yes, you can make the car much worse than it is now.Odd-job wrote:Hi

The software updates are all in 'Downloading'
You have been unlucky in that yours was not an easy fix, some are, some are not.Odd-job wrote:I only wanted to save a few pennies by doing the job myself as I thought it would be something simple to fix
No problem.Odd-job wrote:I do appreciate all the help I've been given so far thank you

Hi
Definitely is the BSI as took one from a scrap car and fitted it and the wipers worked
I have tried downloading an update but it keeps asking me for a 4 digit code so stuck again
I know the car doesn't start with the other cars BSI in it as it is coded but are there other parts I could remove from the scrap car to make it start or is the software update my only option

There are 2 codes, one is 03114 and the other is on your key card that came with the car.Odd-job wrote:Definitely is the BSI as took one from a scrap car and fitted it and the wipers worked
