Hi. I recently bought a Citroen c3 sx 2006 to learn to drive in but it has a lot of issues, I was wondering if I could get some help.
1. When I start the car it says bright sensor faulty. Where is the bright sensor located?

Hello
Welcome to the forum
The bright sensor control the automatic headlights and the automatic wipers on some models.
It is located behind the rear view mirror and is attached to the windscreen.

Hi guys. Recently bought a bright sensor for my Citroen c3 2006 in hopes of fixing the ‘bright sensor faulty’ message but it still says bright sensor faulty. Any ideas? Thanks.

I feel this is going to be one of those things that will turn out to not be worth fixing. While a working bright sensor has many benefits, not all C3 models have them and they drive just a well.
You have changed the key item (the sensor itself) and then the rest of the system is on the VAN or CAN BUS, the BSI computer and all the associated wiring, which is a lot more difficult to diagnose.
I would start by looking for power to the bright sensor, but you need a wiring diagram and then it starts getting tricky.

I found this wire but to me that doesn’t look very normal?

It looks about par for the course.
Was the sensor new or second hand?
I have not seen many failures of the brightness sensor on this forum.
The brightness/rain sensor is connected directly to the BSI there are no intermediate plugs that might come loose.

It may be worth looking at and disconnecting that BSI plug just to see if anything odd has taken place there.
But, if the car was bought with the message showing, then it could be due to something the previous owner has done to the car and you may never get it working.

Does the alarm work?
Can you trigger it by leaving a window open and unlocking the car from inside after locking but not deadlocking?
