Hi
New on here, so please be gentle.
I am fed up of kerbing my wife's 16 plate C3 Picasso, which is fitted with 17" Wheels and low profile tyres. Poor driving I know, but knowing that doesn't get the scrapes removed.
My question is - if I replace the wheels and tyres with more "traditional" big ones, that is big, fat and tall tyres, that actually protrude over the rims, what should i be looking for that won't alter the speedo readings and not affect economy too much.
Thanks for your help.

I would stick with only the wheel and tyre options originally offered for your year. That should keep the insurance happy and won't affect the speedo or economy.

As the wheel size reduces the tyre profile increases to keep the overall circumference constant over the range of wheel and tyre options.

Might be a bit late BUT
You could try “ Alloygators “ a lot of Driving Instructor use them
Suggest you get Them to fit

They go into the groove between tyre and alloy IF You’re a compentant DIYer it’s quite straight forward

I use them as Pupils DO like “ kissing the kerbs sometimes “

Hope this is of some help

Thank you @Stevebutler. I am sure it will be of help to many that want to keep their C3 wheels looking like new.

I have found some pictures to show what they look like :)
