Hi,

If I can find a nice set of alloy wheels for a decent price I might replace the steel wheels on our 2008 1.4 HDi

Couple of questions please:

1) I've never bought wheels before - what spec do i need for the Pluriel?

2) I heard somewhere (it might have been Top Gear..) that putting larger wheels on a car might adversely affect performance - something I don't want to risk!

Iirc the current wheels are 16" and I'd consider going to 17" Is this likely to adversely affect the stellar performance from the Pluriel's might 70BHP lump? :-)

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve. Don't worry.

If you fit bigger diameter wheels just go with the next lower profile tyre to keep the circumference the same. This will make sure the speedo is correct, gearing is right and make no difference to the engine, performanance or ABS.

The pluriel wheels are the same spec for wheels for any C3 fitted over those years (2002-2009). Have a look here on ebay for some options for wheels and tyres for the C3 :)

Fantastic, thanks as ever!

It hadn't crossed my mind about altering the tyre profile.

So something like these should be OK? https://goo.gl/E2Sfcp

Cheers,

They look good. C3 is listed in the description, if that can be anything to go by. Rim Width:6.5J.

Had a thought.

I've been meaning to replace the alloys on our 2010 C3 Picasso - could I kill two birds with one stone:

Buy a set of wheels for the Picasso and move the 16" factory alloys from the Picasso on to the Pluriel?

Just wondered if they would be a suitable fit or not.
