Hi.
My first post and my first Citroen :o
It is a 52 plate C3 1.4HDi (92PS) Exclusive with digital climate control.
This seems to work... but there appears to be something missing from the heater housing, which lets air blast into the passenger footwell. I found a picture on Google that shows what I think should be there and a shot of mine for comparison. There is a bundle of wires tucked away behind with a four pin connector that looks a lot like the one on the photo. I assume whatever switch/sensor should be there broke a and a previous keeper never bothered to replace it.
My question - what's missing and what does it do?

Any help appreciated. I tried the local dealer by phone, but it was difficult to explain and they wanted to know what part I wanted - I just don't know!

Its this:
Cabin heater matrix for a Citroen C3
Cabin heater matrix for a Citroen C3

and this is what it looks like when fitted:
cabin supplementary heater for Citroen C3s with diesel engines
cabin supplementary heater for Citroen C3s with diesel engines

The cabin supplementary heater for cars with diesel engines :)

Have a look at citroen-c3-questions/diesel-heater-exch ... t1320.html where the pictures above were originally posted.

And have a look at this ebay link if you wanted one cheaper than the dealer price :D Heater element C3

Excellent thanks very much :D

I can't confirm which part I had due to its absence and I see two part numbers listed, 6436A9 from the post you mentioned and 664447a on Ebay?
Any idea on the difference? I'll message the sellers aswell.

Thanks again

Btw local dealer wants £153 for it, but won't give away the part number

6436 A9 is the Citroen part number and 664447a is the Valeo part number for the same part. The ebay link is the right part :)
