Hello! I what to buy the right tool to detect problems to any cars, so what is the name of the right device to buy? I'm in South Africa and I once called Citroen dealer for detecter tool and they only said it's cost R35 000 plus or minus 2000 dollar. So I'm scared after I've bought that tool isn't doing the best, any advice please?

Hi Leeuseabata
If you want to diagnose the C3, and many other Citroen and the similar Peugeot models, you will need Diagbox with Lexia.
This is what you were quoted for when you contacted the dealer.
Everyone else just gets a clone version of the tool, but you don't get all the extra support for the very latest (2108) software downloads or access to Citroen systems that you would with the expensive tool.
If you want the clone, have a look at this link to China that sell clones of the Diagbox with Lexia.

OK thanks but what is the right device? How do I know if the device is authentic and is there any device for detecting any car than Citroen and pegout?

If you want authentic, go to your Citroen approved dealer.Leeuseabata wrote:How do I know if the device is authentic
Not on the Citroen C3 owners forum. You may get some use out of diagbox on OBD2 cars, but you won't get dealer options for other marques from a Citroen tool. You are asking on the wrong forum about garage tools for all makes.Leeuseabata wrote:and is there any device for detecting any car than Citroen and pegout?
