>> Well, it passed an MOT with a few minor advisories. Managed to remove injector without force by the simple technique of carb cleaner and patience. Cleaned and new seals replaced. Key fob miraculously started working - both keys. I thought I'd celebrate but in the morning it was only activated by having the keys a few centimetres (max 5cm) from the ignition switch. So the keys work but not enough to lock the car from outside of a closed door. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Both of our C4 Picasso keys have been causing problems in the last couple of weeks. In both cases unlocking failed, both by touching the handles and by pressing the unlock button. In both cases the car wouldn't start (keyless system) as it gave a 'key not present' alarm. In both cases it it started when the key was inserted in the holder. My C3 has a similar system but there is no holder, so if I have issues with that, I don't know where you place the key. Anyway, preplaced the batteries in both keys and both now ok.
