Hi

When it rains for a long period, I am noticing lots of rain in the front passenger footwell. I've checked the seals and they all look good (and dry). So I am guessing there's a blocked drain point somewhere. However, I can't see where the drains points are. Is anyone able to explain/show where I should be looking please? Or any other possible causes that I should check.

Thanks in advance.

Is this when the car is moving or stationary?
If its when the car is moving, it might be because one of the bungs in the bottom of the chassis is missing but I'm not sure of that. You will need to get under the car and look.

The other might be a blocked drain under the scuttle panel. The scuttle panel are the plastic bits at the base of the windscreen and where the wind screen wiper drive shafts stick out of. You will need to remove the wind screen wiper arms and unscrew the three pieces making up the scuttle panel. If you park the car under trees or bushes, the drains on either side will fill up with sticks and leaves.

Has the windscreen bee replaced? Could be that the job was not done correctly.

Thanks Ovztr

Its only when stationary. I wondered if I might have to take all that off - and now know what a scuttle panel is!
Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try once I can get at in daylight and when dry. So may be a few days away!

Will post back once I've had a chance to check it out.

Thanks again.
