HI about 3-4 weeks a go I had a problem with the water heat sensor coursing a bleeping and the heat bars going right up to the top for about 4 seconds then i thought i had solved it by going to the main dealers and buying a heat sensor. guess what its back only one thing left to cheque is the wire from the sensor. can anybody tell me where it goes from the sensor or post a diagram/photo so i can see where it goes and maybe I can re-wire the sensor this is the last chance the car is getting thanks

The sensor goes to the engine ECU.skyman wrote:HI about 3-4 weeks a go I had a problem with the water heat sensor coursing a bleeping and the heat bars going right up to the top for about 4 seconds then i thought i had solved it by going to the main dealers and buying a heat sensor. guess what its back only one thing left to cheque is the wire from the sensor. can anybody tell me where it goes from the sensor or post a diagram/photo so i can see where it goes and maybe I can re-wire the sensor this is the last chance the car is getting thanks
If changing the sensor made a difference, then it could be the plug/socket part of the wiring that was flexed when you moved it to replace the sensor.
I will see if I can find my diagram for you.

Number 1220 is your SONDE DE TEMPERATURE D’EAU MOTEUR (WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR ENGINE) on a Siemens SID802 ECU (which your 8v has).
48V MR is a Brown 48 way connector on the ECU, 38V GR is a 38 way Grey connector on the ECU and the Numbers 4000 and 401 are the wire numbers printed on the wires (wire colours are not relevant).
