Hi. turned ignition off, locked the car and went off on my jollies. on returning I heard a whirring sound coming from the car. I unlocked the car using key fob and the noise stopped. 5 minutes later it started again, with no keys in the ignition. On investigation found the noise to be exactly the same as the washer pump. I filled the water reservoir up and it seemed to be ok so left the car after 10 minutes of silence. 2 hours later I returned again to the car with the noise and an empty washer reservoir. I know its close to Halloween but don't think is ghostly ghouls. I've just removed the fuse but would like to know what this could possibly be and if anyone has had anything like this happen before

Hi langy71

The COM2000 controls the washer jet motor. The COM2000 is the steering wheel stalks, well known for wearing out and giving odd faults. I have not heard of the washer jet one before, but wouldn't be surprised if the COM2000 turned up faulty.

Have a look here https://citroenc3owners.com/citroen-c3-t ... -t467.html to see what's inside the COM2000 and it may give you something to work on, there are also some links to getting them repaired or replaced.

Engine bay fuse box has the relays for the washer, it will be worth looking for water damage to the engine bay fuse box.

BSI (fuse box in the glove box) has a hand in the washer jet motor drive too, so a look in there too would be a good idea.
