Hi

Looks like the sort of thing you find on the blower heater system.

There is a short bit for the a/c in the glove box on some models.

Do any of the vents not blow hot? Or Cold?

ThanksC3CAR.
All the vents are blowing air when heater is on but I didn't try the A/C.I don't thinkA/C works as I've only tried it once since I bought car 2nd hand in 2014.Probably needs recharging/regassing.

That hose connects the top of the glove box in a 2003-2009 C3. It diverts (cold) air from the left hand air duct into the glove box. If you open the glove box and look at the upper surface, you will see a knob-like disc. You can rotate this to introduce more or less air into the glove box (cooling).
There is a how-to remove the glove box if you click >here<. I forgot to mention that hose but the "big" end goes onto the glove box "regulator knob" and the small end goes into a hole in the air duct. It's not easy to manipulate the glove box and the hose in at the same time!!! I would say that someone in the past has removed the glove box for some reason, didn't put the hose back correctly, and it has fallen out!

Thanks Ozvtr
I think the glove box was taken out a couple of years ago when I had central locking repaired.
It seems a fiddly job to remove glove box to refit hose and not essential to have a glove box heated is it? Can it cause any harm if hot air is blown elsewhere behind glove box?

I don't think you will have any extra problems if you don't refit the hose. There isn't anything special that would be affected by the cold air blowing.

I do not think it blows hot, only cold.

What ever air temp you select (for the cabin) will also go into the glove box.
Well, whatever you select for the left (passenger) vent. If you don't select any air flow from (to) the side vents, then you wont get any air into the glove box either.
