New here hopefully in right forum my question is I have a 2003 C3 1.1 SX 5 door hatchback and my main beams stay on all the time even when car switched off I took out both fuses for main beam and checking fuse box there is sum corrosion.How could I fix this and should I need to replace the box what numbers on this do I need a label is worn not readable all I see is then name Seamiens but nothing else and advice or direction greatly appreciated Thank You all in Anticipation J

If you want to fix this by changing parts, then a BSM (engine bay fuse box) form any 2003 C3 should be compatible. You will also find ones from 2002 up to about 2005 for C3 and other Citroen models like the C5 are also compatible on those years.

Have a look at these BSM (engine bay fuse boxes) (here) on ebay.


If this doesn't fix it, you are looking at the COM2000 being faulty.

If you wanted to do testing and diagnostics before changing parts, you will need one of these lexia tools (here) and to read this lexia topic (for starters).

I would be tempted to just change the BSM module if it looks suspect and take it from there :)

If I replace the fuse box will it be ok with my ECU etc or would it need to be be programmed or anything like that sorry im not technically minded atall any direction would be gratefully received Thank You all in Anticipation.

No programming needed, just change the engine fuse box with one from the same spec and year.

I have same spec but a year later 2004, veichle is 2003 does that make any difference ?

It should be fine, they didn't change over those years. But the best way is to try it.

Thanks for all the direction on the fuse box issue i got a cheap 2004 BSM B3 Fuse box and it sorted the issue good so thanks for the help J
