Good Morning I was wondering if anyone could give me any information/help. I bought my 68 plate Citroen C3 Flai Nav Pure on 11th June 2022 from Evans Halshaw Citroen. The car had 11850 miles on it. I returned car within a few days to say that there was a problem with the acceleration, when you put your foot on the accelerator peddle there was no power this was an intermittent fault. Evans Halshaw took the car in drove it and said there was no problem! On the 19th June 2022
9 days after I bought the car it broke down. Evans Halshaw took the car in after alot of arguments replaced the clutch as they said it had gone. I then took the car back but the problem with the accelerator was still happening I returned the vehicle several times saying the intermittent fault was still there but each time Evans Halshaw said nothing wrong with it. This last weekend the car broke down again Evans Halshaw have taken it in again and I have been told the clutch has gone again. I have been told that it is driver error and this will now be the second clutch. I have been driving for 32 years and have had several manual cars and never had a problem before. They are charging me over £1600 to get the clutch repaired. The car now has 13000 miles on the clock. I have now taken this to The Motor Ombudsman and am getting an independent engineer in to look at the car. Could anyone help me with this? Thanks

Hi
My clutch lasted over 130k miles and it only failed because the oil seal broke. There was still a lot of friction material left and the pressure plate was destroyed by the oil seal breaking.
Yes, you should go to the ombudsman. But also consider contacting Citroen UK for help, include all the documentation you have.
Dealers always say there is not problem when it's their responsibility.
There is another post on the forum of a similar problem with the clutch. Just bought a C3 and noticed a problem with the clutch

Thank you your reply. I have now contacted Citroen UK and placed a claim with them as well. I am prepared to take this as far as is necessary. If anyone else has anyone I can contact please let me know. Thank You.
