The sunroof on my C3 won't open when the switch is turned. I've tried the sunroof control reset steps outlined in the manual to no avail. When the switch is depressed in the closed position the motor can be heard briefly turning one way, and back the other, I can see the little hex head underneath the control switch moving. When I turn the switch, I can hear a clicking sound, which I think is the relay on each turn, but the roof doesn't open or move.

I took the cover off of the motor and the gears are moving freely, there is also some movement in the steel cable when the switch is held down.

Tried my local dealer, but they refused to look at it without booking the car in. Any help about would be appreciated :)

It could be jammed if the roof doesn't sit in the runners correctly. As you have found out from the dealer, there is no quick job when dealing with the sun roof mechanicals.

There is some information in xtr panoramic sunroof fault
