Now it may not be clear in the photo but the light switch on the stack is rotated to OFF but the light indication on the dash for side and dip are on and indeed after checking the dipped lights were on! Only happens every so often, any ideas why? It does not have auto sensing lights as far as I am aware, they are either on or off. If I turn them on then off with the stalk they go off. Puzzled... did have an “error” message and beep tonight whilst driving but soon as I heard and saw it, it had gone off the display and everything seemed to work as normal. Could be something else or not. Don’t really want to spend any more money on this car than I already have done....and that’s more than I should realistically!

I don't see the dash display for side and dip in your photo.

Can you press the button on the end of that stalk while the ignition/accessories is on and wait for a chime?

I know its not clear but take it from me both side and main lights are in as well as the lights showing they are on, on the dash. As far as buttons on the light stalk I dont have one, only a button on the wiper stalk which just zeros the mileage/mpg etc display.

Hello Raggy

I think Citroen-Driver was thinking you may have automatic lights. They have a sensor which turns the lights on when the outside light level is low. If the sensor is blocked or faulty, that would explain your lights being permanently on.

To turn this function on an off you use a long press on the button on the end of the lighting/indicator stalk. If you haven't get a button then you won't have this function.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Looked at the stalk and looks as though there could be a button but non operative for mine so I don’t have that feature.
