Hi all . Any help woul be greatly appreciated as i dont want to do any damage so iwant to check with u all first. On taking my starter off to do my clutch i didnt mark or take photos of the wiring . I am sure i only took 1 green wire off the small screw side on the starter but i have a white spare dangling . It wont go on the big side of the starter as the hole is too small . I know it makes sense that it goes on the small side but just want to check as i dont want to cause fire or blow my electrics!. Could anybody tell me what the white wire is for plz ? (See photo) many thanks

I had a look in the Haynes diagram and there is no mention of a white wire on the starter.

The solenoid control wire is shown as purple.

If you clean the wire up, are there any numbers printed on the cable?
