I have Recently Purchased a 2003 C3 HDI 16V SX and i have found a blue plug socket by the accelerator pedal, i am wondering what this is and slightly worried that it is some kind of important electronic safety feature that should be plugged in to something coming out of the brake pedal, but i suppose it could also be for cruise control on the exclusive model, do you guys have any ideas?
thanks :)

Don't worry.

There are lots of unconnected plugs and sockets for various unfitted features.

If there was a safety concern, the car would let you know ;)

Being new to the C3 and concerned that its functioning as Citroen intended you may want to consider looking into the lexia system for computer diagnosis.

The lexia topic is here:

Lexia can pay for itself many times over if you are prepared to put the time in to learn how to use it and there is a computer fault to be diagnosed.
