i recently changed the passengerside drive shaft so i needed to top up the gearbox with oil i removed the battery, the battery tray and air duct so i could get to the filling point on the top of the gearbox all filled up with oil now and when it was all put together and i tried it gears 1,3 and 5 give some resistance also when going from 5th to 4th gives some resistance but gears 2,4 and reverse are how they should be and gears were fine before the driveshaft was changed anyone have any ideas

Hi
You don't fill a gearbox up.
You fill it to the fill point but if you have a filled for life gearbox you need to drain it fully and then only put in the exact quantity specified for the particular box fitted.
