My Bay Blue C3 has an incorrect paint code. It is ECZ, which is a sandy colour. If anybody knows the correct code for Bay Blue, so that I can buy
some touch-up paint, I would be most grateful. Citroen Customer Care could not help as "it is not on our data base"!

ECZ on a 2016 comes back as Corcovado Azul2016 Citroen Corcovado Azul ECZ
I don't see any mention of 'Bay Blue' for Citroen
but there is a Belle Blue on a 2014
Belle Blue Citroen C3G B Y 2014 Citroen Blue Belle Ille KGW, U3 C3, C3 Picasso, C3 Pluriel, DS3, Berlingo, 2-tone EXT with KWF, EXU with EXY
Did you check the ORGA for the paint code?
An example ORGA plate is here.

Thank you for the reply C3driver52. Bay Blue was introduced in autumn 2015.
My local dealer did actually have some ECZ touch-up in stock, it was a sandy colour--name in French, Sable Phonecien.

I found your Bay Blue (and others) on a 2015 C3
But unfortunately I don't have a paint code for it yet.

'Bay Blue' is 'Bahia Bleu' in France, Bahia-Blau in Germany.

Thank all of you for your replies.
My problem is solved. I was wrong, ECZ is the correct code for Bay Blue. Thanks for your help and my own searches I now know that ECZ is the paint code for Sand( under 3 different names),
Corcovado Azul( an inky-black), and my own Bay Blue( Bleu Bahia in France).
So I ask myself: what on earth is the point of a paint code if it is not specific to a particular colour?
Incidentally Bahia Blau, a German version of the same colour I think, has at least 2 paint codes-- L50A and 5CVE.
I'm baffled.

Thanks for sharing your research.lenart wrote:Thank all of you for your replies.
It doesn't make any sense. There are an unlimited combination of letters they could use, so why re-use ones already allocated to a colour?lenart wrote:So I ask myself: what on earth is the point of a paint code if it is not specific to a particular colour?
I am not surprised.lenart wrote:I'm baffled.
