Hey all, apologies if this is a silly question. I really would like to fit a new battery, but will I have to recode the radio afterwards?
Apologies if this is a daft question, but prefer to check to be sure.
Also any recommendations on a good battery? I cover around 20k miles a year. 2007 petrol, mainly motorway.
Regards

Hello C3RIS, there is no 'radio code' that you used to have to do when changing the battery. There is a code, but it is unaffected by changing the battery.C3RIS wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 3:47 pm Hey all, apologies if this is a silly question. I have a bosch battery and that has served me very well. You can find them with free delivery here on eBay new, easy to fit yourself at home.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

That's great thank you. I'm looking at the Bosch S5 005 Battery. Does this fit? I seem to get conflicting stories online/eBay etc. Looks a good price. I'm only running standard audio etc too.Arfur Dent wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 3:04 pmHello C3RIS, there is no 'radio code' that you used to have to do when changing the battery. Yes, the Bosch S5 005 has the same dimensions as the 027 standard fit battery which is 242L x 175W x 190H
Several different batteries fit in the C3 battery tray, hence the confusion. Some models have uprated batteries so the tray was designed to fit more than one.
