I cannot unlock any doors with the remote key but able to unlock the drivers door with ignition key.Just received car back from Citroen dealer who reported that passenger doorlock has failed and in turn has shorted the BSI unit therefore, you guessed it, I need a new unit and lock costing £600!
Has anybody experienced this problem and is there any other means of solving it!
I am gutted

Good new is 'yes', you don't need new parts.

A second hand door locking unit is quite cheap, you can find them
<a target="_self" href="https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... w=lg">here - on ebay</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="https://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53 ... ACHEBUSTER]">
, the pluriel is just like the normal C3 for locking, so pick the correct side and year.

As for the BSI, they can be repaired - try
<a target="_self" href="https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... kw=lg">BBA Reman</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="https://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53 ... ACHEBUSTER]">
, you may need to give them a call, describe the problem and see if they can fix the BSI.

If your BSI is unrepairable, all is not lost. You can fit a second hand BSI if you fit the corresponding ECU and have the matched key too. These 3 items are sold as 'kits'
<a target="_self" href="https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... w=lg">here on ebay</a><img style="text-decoration:none;border:0;padding:0;margin:0;" src="https://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53 ... ACHEBUSTER]">
. You will need to pick one on a similar year for a pluriel of the same fuel type and fit the engine ECU and BSI at the same time and use the new keys to start the car.
