Hello,i need some urgent help with a remote key problem for my 2007 C3 1.4sx facelift,i bought the car recently and it had two keys - one was a remote type ( which was not working ) and the other key which is a non remote type key that does start and operate the car but obviously not the remote locking.I would really like to get a working remote key working for the vehicle so I can lock it properly ( without having to manually lock via each door over-ride ). My question is can I purchase a brand new virgin remote key and program it myself using something like LEXIA or DIAG ? And if so can anyone advise the best place to buy this key ( I see brand new virgin keys advertised on EBAY ) and also what version of LEXIA or DIAG I need to do it ( ALSO SEEN MANY VERSIONS ON EBAY ).If possible I would like to get this fixed myself as I am on a tight budget and cannot afford a visit to a CITROEN GARAGE !

What are my options ?

As far as I know the previous owners original master key was lost at some point and the one I got with the car was a clone - and I believe they had some work done on the car where the battery was disconnected and then could not get the clone to work and thus then had a coded non remote key made which is now the only working key for the vehicle.

No eBay keys will work if they have ever been connected to a car (that is all of them).

You will understand why the original owners didn't buy a new remote fob when you see the cost from Citroën for a virgin fob board.

I don't know what 'clone' you have, is it genuine Citroën OEM? You may just need to go through the re-sync procedure.

You can't add a key that has already been used on any other C3 on your C3.
