Hi there! While driving yesterday my left indicator doubled in tempo.. hope thay makes sense! I figured it must have been a warning for my rear lights as all of them went out at once. Tested them with my hazards, breaking, when putting the car into reverse and nothing. My indicator lights on the front of the car are still working. I'm guessing a fuse might have blown. I was going to change the light bulbs but I'm assuming if it is a fuse it will blow the light bulbs again. I know the locations of 3 fuse boxes, the one in the glove compartment, the one underneath and the one in the under the hood, just right of the battery. None of these are for the rear lights according to the manual, so was hoping anyone on here would know of where the fuse is located. Or even if they think the problem could be something else!
Many thanks!
Many thanks!

Hi Pootle116
It is unusual for all the lamps in one cluster to go due to a fuse, because the different circuits - if fused - are protected by different fuses.
If the whole cluster goes dark, I would imagine an earth problem because the earth is common to all the lamps in the cluster.
Its a common problem with Pre A51 cars, but I have not come across this on a late model that yours is shown as, so the problem may also appear in the A51 cars too
This is a link to the rear cluster earth fault (here) on the early models, it may also be useful for later models?
No, if a fuse is blown that supplies the lamps, there will be no power to the lamps.Pootle116 wrote:I was going to change the light bulbs but I'm assuming if it is a fuse it will blow the light bulbs again.

That makes much more sense. If I find out the problem and it is that I'll let it be known! Thank so so much!

I checked the fuse boxes for a while using the owner manual for the Rear lights fuse location,
I just can't find it on the list. Break lights and indicator are working. I had to put a new battery in
a few days ago, the old one gave up without warning. can this have an effect? Yes I did check the
bulbs, they seem to be fine. Anyone able to shed a light? Much appreciated!

Hello
If one is blown, please note which one it is, and replace it.
Brake and indicators are on different circuits so would have different fuses (if fused) and your common denominator is: this common C3 rear lights fault.
On the early version (not yours, but the one before it, they are fused F21 and F20) but don't show on the diagram for your year. Easy enough, just check every fuse in the BSI and if none are blown, then it's not down to a fuse.sitikkaphil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 8:33 am I checked the fuse boxes for a while using the owner manual for the Rear lights fuse location,
