Initially the door wouldn't open with the outside handle.

Then the door lock solenoid was changed.

Now the door won't open from the outside handle.

Its sounds like the fault is still present and not much has changed.

You didn't say if the door ever opened from outside after opening from the inside before you changed the solenoid, or if you ever tried it.

You either have 2 faulty solenoids which both have the same fault or the problem lies elsewhere. The normal failure for door solenoids is buzzing door locks, so I doubt you have 2 faulty solenoid units.

The door has been a problem since it was bought but with mot coming up soon thought it was time to try and sort..

After changing all the door handle /lock components I have the same problem as before I changed it. I even put the original back on to see if removing it and reinstalling it would help..didn't.

:( Door locking is controlled by the BSI, worth checking the plug on the BSI that carries most of those signals:

Unplug it and plug it back in, is a good way to check its plugged in correctly.
