If i set the rear child lock button on the dash to "on" everytime i leave the car and return it needs to be re set to on?

Is this normal? It's a bit of a pain having to set it every time i get into the car?

Hi fraz101, I have just tried mine (similar model as yours), I can set the child locking on the rear doors then leave the car, lock it, unlock, open the rear door from the outside, open the drivers door, switch on the ignition and do all the above again and the child lock light stays on.

I have not left the car for any length of time but I will come back to the car later to see if its still engaged.

Same for ours, once on the child-lock stays on.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

I've done a bit of research online and it appears this was an issue that citroen were aware of,seems like there is a software update to resolve the issue.

Was covered under warranty at the time.
