Hello

I recently bought a 2003 C3, petrol, automatic gearbox.

The car has a problem with opening the rear boot. It opens up right after unlocking the car. When driving and stopping it wont open unless you open one of the doors except the drivers door.

Any suggestions about fixing this issue? Can it be the drivers door sensor or something, that doesnt work?

thanks in advance

Hi shefter, its nothing to do with a petrol engine, so expect it to be moved.

The BSI (fuse box in the glove box) does all the unlocking and locking signals and its sounds like a problem there. The BSI is configured by Citroen Lexia tool (available here on amazon). You can check the programming there but more importantly the lock an unlock signals can be monitored giving an insight into what is happening and why.

Before delving into a lexia too, its suggested reading this topic for lexia to see what is involved.
