I was driving then all of a sudden car speedo stopped and steering became heavy , now it's ok again any ideas ?

If your car has ABS then my guess would be an ABS sensor fault.

On cars with ABS the speed readout is derived from the ABS sensors on the wheels. The same speed signal is also fed to the power steering which is speed sensitive.

As I said though, this is only a guess and even if I'm right, you need to know which sensor is at fault. The way to find this is from reading error codes. If you're lucky there will be a temporary code stored even if the fault isn't present at the time of reading.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried :lol:

If it doesn't have ABS then the sensor for steering and speedo in on the gear box. Poor connection, failing sensor..
