Thanks for any help on here.
Just got a 2006 C3 Desire for my daughter.
Had a few engine and suspension issues which I have sorted, but this one is beating me.
When you turn the steering wheel, the turning is noticeably heavier turning left than it is when turning right. (happens when stationary and moving)
I have tried to reset the steering angle sensor calibration but it is not completing on my scanner. (Topdon Artilink 600)
Please can anyome help me with what could be causing this and if there are any android apps that will allow me to do the calibration with a generic obd adaptor
Thanks

The fault is in the torque sensor. It is part of the steering rack. Unfortunately you will need to replace the steering rack.
The steering angle (used for ESP) is in the COM2000 module, the wiper and light stalks module. If the car has ESP, the ESP light will be on if the steering angle is not set correctly. However, it wont effect the power steering.
OBDII scanners really only talk to the engine ECU. Does your dash have a temperature bar graph or temperature light? If it has a bar graph the information from the scanner will be limited as there are no 'CAN' lines in the OBDII connector. If it has a temperature light you may fair better but the access will still be limited. OBDII only needs to tell you the performance of the engine, EVAP system and the state of the catalytic converter(s). Anything else you wring out of it is a bonus!
