Hi guys,
I have a Citroen c3 2003 1.4 petrol Automtic. A week or so ago the Power Steering didnt want to work when I started it up, after turning the wheel back and forth a few times it kicked in. Its happened quite a few times although mostly when I first go to drive it the next day. The other day after a 150mile drive it went mid drive on my husband making it very difficult for him.
It seams to happen really in the mornings or cold evenings and will be fine on each start up after. Just put a brand new battery on it and no joy, any ideas?

Hi Frankiiei2011

Different systems in the car can have an effect on the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) on the C3. A helpful diagnosis tool to try to see which system is disabling the EPS is Lexia tool. This can read codes from the car and hopefully point you in the right direction.
Sorry forgot to add, if you rev it up the power steering kicks in?
This is interesting, as you rev the engine, the alternator can deliver more power. It would be worth checking the electrical system, alternator output, condition of the electrical connections to the EPS ECU etc..
