Hi Everybody!
This is the first question that I have posted... here goes!
My wifes C3, 53 plate, 50k miles has recently developed a prob with the PAS. Basically, it works and then it doesn't, then it does again.
I have looked in her Owners Manual and I can't believe that the PAS isn't even mentioned!!!
Could the prob be lack of fluid etc? If so.... where the fk do you shove the juice? The manual doesn't tell you! Grrrrrrr!
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum Videoman1959,
You are about to gain some extra 'Power'
The PAS is an electronic system with an electric motor on the steering rack and an ECU behind the battery.
Its controlled by a computer, so there will be codes stored that need reading, use Lexia to read them. Or start looking into the electrical wiring for the motor and PAS ECU.

There is one very good reason why the manual doesn't mention where to put the PAS fluid in the C3 power steering system, and you may have already guessed. It doesn't use PAS fluid. In fact, there are no user serviceable to the power steering on the C3 hence the lack of information in the manual.Could the prob be lack of fluid etc? If so.... where the fk do you shove the juice? Thank you for the reply.... BUT!
Oh dear.... is it an expensive problem?? We have JUST bought a C3 Exclusive (56 plate ) and was about to put the older c3 up for sale ... and now this happens.
and can an old fashioned car n truck 'electrician' get to the bottom of it, or will they need the specialist electronic gadgetry?
