Hi, thanks for letting me join, I am a long time Citroen Nut (think 14 ZXs, 2 Xantias, A Xsara Picasso and now have a Grand Picasso and C3 Pluriel!).

The question I have is re the locking of the Pluriel, namely it won't!

I bought it with the locking not working, it has an aftermarket remote which did nothing, so I changed the battery and checked the fuse, still nothing.

A key programmer came over and reset the key, it now clicks occasionally and the light comes on, so the key is working, it starts the car and works in all other ways, he confirmed it is not the key and I believe him as you can hear it quietly click begind the dashboard.

The button on the dashboard to lock the car works perfectly, and the key man has checked the BSI and says its fine, and thinks the problem is something else.

In an effort to circumnavigate the issue, I bought an aftermarket remote kit and located the lock and unlock wires in the PH2 plug on the BSI and tried to wire in the aftermarket unit to send a pulse to the correct wire, all this did on first go was blow a fuse!.

Clearly there is an issue somewhere in the system, I am reluctant to reset the BSI as I don't know the radio code.

My guess is water has got into a compolent and this is causing the issue, but where to start?

I would really appreciate any wisdom and guidence.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

A common problem is the BSI,

It looks like someone may have already had a go at it? :(

Aftermarket won't work.

There is no code for the radio.

Possibly COM2000 if not BSI, diagnose with lexia.

Don't buy one with a non working remote central locking if you need to lock it, because invariably it will either be expensive or very time consuming to sort.

Hi again,

Next weird thing in my car won’t lock conundrum!

The key man said it’s not the remote, when I press the button on the fob there is a noise like a small frog from behind the instrument binnacle?

Any suggestions on what part it might be?

It’s like a small frog!

I posted a video on the C3 page on facebook, any suggestions?
