Hello Steve

There is not a replacement clutch interval.

You just change them when they fail.

The only time they are changed preemptively is when the engine is out of the car for other work.

Got it, thanks. Then I guess the 64 million $ question - how many miles should I expect to get from a clutch before it goes? I appreciate this depends on so many things. The car is on 106k with, AFAIK, the original clutch.

Thanks.

It all depends on how it's been driven, they can easily fail at 50K miles if not driven correctly, but some will do 200K.

Mine failed at 120K, but that was due to the oil seal and nothing to do with the actual mechanical or friction material. I would have thought that it could have gone on for another 120K with the amount of meat left on the friction plate. But a £15 bit of rubbish engineering destroyed a perfectly good clutch.

I would be concerned about the timing belt, at 150K or 10 years its due and these things do get changed on a routine maintenance schedule.
