Can anyone help with a brake fluid cap for my Citroen C3 Picasso please?
They are normally yellow in colour.
I'm wondering if a generic one might fit, say from a place like Halfords. I've looked long on-line, but they seem to be rare as hens teeth to buy new. Any help please would be sincerely welcome. I've not tried a Citroen garage yet, as I don't have one close to me. Could I drive the car without one, or with a cover of some kind on it just to go to a garage? Euro-Parts don't even list them, but my daughter can run me there tomorrow if you think they would stock them. I'm kinda desperate to be honest?
Thanks Guys.
Richard.

Hi
A couple of layers of cling film (glad wrap) and some elastic bands would be fine in the short term to get you safely through.
The cap is to keep the moisture in the air from coming into contact, along with all the dust and dirt in the engine bay.
There is a small breather hole in the cap too, to equalise the pressure, but this won't be necessary in the short term.
There are a couple listed here on eBay scroll down to the yellow ones, you may find what you need there.

Thank you very much, I did look, but did not see those ones. What a relief to find something, and the right item.
Big thanks buddy. Richard.

C3DRIVER53.
I visited Euro-parts today after our posts, and was very shocked
to see that they cannot get the part, or stock it? The car is only 5 years old 2016, and you cannot get the part, it seems crazy. Do other people find this with these cars over 5years old?

It's not a service item and not a part you would ever change on the car. There is no need to stock them as they don't get sold.
This is unlike the coolant cap that does wear and needs changing every so often
