Hi all. Just wondering if anyone can help
Have a 2008 c3 and the front passenger door won't open from the inside. It does sometimes miraculously work but then won't work again.
Have taken door card off and checked cables and connections and lubed everything up but no difference.
Just wondering if it's a common issue / simple fix?
Thanks.

Hi Richy
I have not heard of the inner door release failing. So this is new to me.
Have you pulled the lock mechanism out and dismantled it?
A common fault is the outer key lock failing due to rusting up. I know that's not the fault here but it rusts up because of salting of the roads. There may be a similar failure mode here too.

If the internal handle operates the cable ok, its probably going to be the door solenoid pack as this controls the opening/locking and unlocking of the door.
Not a common problem though.

Thanks for replies.
Yep the cable is definitely working the mechanism.
It's just weird as it's only the internal handle that is not working. When stopped and the doors are unlocked theres no issue from opening from outside - passenger has to open window and use the outside handle to open or wait for someone to open for them which is getting annoying
Just seems weird that the lock releases for the outside handle but not inside?
Also it just be an electrical issue as once in a blue moon the internal handle will work but then you drive and stop and it's not working again. It's kinda random.
Just looking on ebay for solenoids but all seem to be for 2009 models onwards, only door handles for a 2007-2008.
