Hi

I bought a 53 plate C3 yesterday but the brake lights aren't working. All the other rear lights are fine. I've replaced the brake light switch but it hasn't made any difference. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Also I have followed instructions to open the dashboard fuse box but it won't drop down, I can't see anything blocking it.

Thank you

My first choice would have been to check or just change all the lamps (all 3 of them).

You can test switches and this can save money on buying the wrong parts.

This would suggest that you haven't followed the right instructions for hinging down the BSI/cabin fuse box. The correct instructions are here - in the C3 Fuse Box Locations topic.

There are 2 fused circuits from brake lights by the looks, so look for two blown fuses in the BSI unit (fuse box in the cabin).

Fuses now checked and replaced. Tried new bulbs and they are on all the time when the brake light switch is in place. Switch appears to be working. 12v tested and going through no problem.
