Hi all,

Had a nightmare with a broken locking wheel nut, finally managed to get it removed (long story)

My next quest is trying to find a replacement, flat, cone - can’t figure it out 😂 current ones appear to be a mix of flat and cone. It’s not easy!

Anyone point me in the right direction!

Have attached a photo of the original, and ones that McGard website suggested, but they just seem so different.

Help! Who knew nuts were so difficult?

Hi

this is what you need. They have the taper and the washer for alloy and steel wheel space savers.

Cheers, thank you.

Would the ones I bought from mcgard work, or do I need to send them back and buy the ones you suggested?

They are obviously very different and look nothing like the original ones from your picture.

The design of the original makes them suitable for vehicles with alloy wheels to run with a steel 'space saver' spare wheel. It's saves having to carry a spare set of different wheel nuts for when you change the wheel.

I would use the ones that look the same as the ones your had fitted originally to ensure there are no problems in the future with having the wrong wheel nut fitted.
