LCD Multifunction Display Unit

I have just bought a 2008 C3 Exclusive Plus1.4ltr petrol. The Multi function LCD display screen is not working, can anybody advise on what to check or do to get it working please

There is a video of how to remove the plastics around the display on a 2002-2005 model in this post which may help.

Thanks for your reply, however I have had the clock out and it's a sealed unit with bulbs to the rear of it. If anybody can advise on what else to check I'd be great fuel. I was going to put a test meter on the plug while the radio was on to see if current was going to the plug, does anyone know if a replacement LCD screen has to be programmed in by a main agent
