Hi, im afraid i cannot help you with the airbag issue although i can point out some common knocking noises with these vehicles, first, one of the common issues are the arb drop links which cause a knocking noise at low speeds, this issue has a fix here: https://citroenc3owners.com/citroen-c3-t ... -t330.html

other issues may be the sound of a worn shock absorber (these can be tested by pushing down on all for corners of the car and seeing if the car springs back to the correct position meaning the shocks are fine or if the car bounces back down and then corrects itself the shock is not working properly) or a loose front bumper and wheel arch liner assembly due to the clips on the wheel arch liner having snapped off as shown on the pictures of the black C3 (mine), these hold the nose of the car steady, when they break off it can move about and make a plasticy knocking noise at speed.

This problem can be easily fixed by putting a self tapping screw through the front bumper into part of the arch liner as picture on the silver C3 (my dads)
