Key won't unlock door now, on my 2003 C3. I've only 1 key and the remote part broken. I need to fit new lock barrel, but I can't see how to remove the old one. It's probably simple when you know how. Can someone help me please.

Hi del1000

The lock needs to be detached from inside the car and it may prove easier to remove the whole lock carrier by drilling out the rivets from behind the outer handle cover?

This is the lock carrier

the big circle in the black plastic carrier holds the lock barrel.

Have a look at this section citroen-c3-tips/c3-rear-door-lock-remov ... -t162.html which also links to the removal of those hidden rivets and removing the door card to get access.

Before you go to the trouble of fitting a new barrel, have you tried a good dose of plusgas from a tin directly into the slot where the key goes?
